“Cache” In at Wappapello Lake Visitor Center

Geocaching is the hottest new trend that has become a favorite pastime for a lot of folks.  What is geocaching?  It’s like treasure hunting using a GPS unit to locate a geocache site.  Each site varies in size and contents and in its degree of difficulty in finding.  But beware!  It is highly contagious and may transform you and your friends into avid treasure hunters.
To learn more, the Bill Emerson Memorial Visitor Center at Wappapello Lake will be hosting a “Geocaching Meet ‘n Greet Event” with Melinda Fox Lindsay on Saturday, August 13, 2011, beginning at 9 a.m.  This informative program will give you hands-on experience with a skilled teacher.  And to make it more fun, Wappapello Lake has several geocache sites you can find.
